Astral projection is travel of the astral body, separate from the physical body, in the astral plane. Metaphysicians theorize that during astral projection, the soul is tethered to the body via an elastic silver cord composed of energy.
Mediums unconsciously project their astral bodies while in a trance, but without training awake with no memory of it (1).
