Osiris

Egyptian god Osiris

In ancient Egyptian religion, Osiris was the husband of the god Isis and father of the god Horus. According to Lewis Spence in Ancient Egyptian Myths and Legends, Osiris judged the souls of the newly deceased while seated in a large hall, the roof of which was carved with fire and symbols of truth. The dead were brought before Osiris and their hearts were weighed by the god Anubis.
