What is Astrology?

Astrology is an ancient form of fortune telling. Until the fifth century B.C. astrologers primarily engaged in horary astrology; studying the positions of the planets, moon and stars in order to determine the most favorable date to take action like starting a war Mundane astrology was used to predict the weather and natural disasters (1). Horoscopes predict the general course of a person’s character and destiny based on the positions of the planets and the exact time and place of birth (2).
